365 STRAIGHT days of hand lettering DONE! (now time for a little break) I'm a little surprised that I was able to complete a hand lettering sketch for a whole year straight without missing a day. It will be fun to look back over all of them to see how they've changed throughout the year. I also want to scan them all in and do something fun with the set but that's TBD. For now enjoy my final month of sketches! December's theme was "In 2016, what if I . . . " this was an interesting topic to start off January, however I felt like a lot of them I could have put repeats so it was difficult for me to come up with unique things to think about for this year. I'll have to make a list of all my topics and see which ones I will seriously look into trying to do this year. Could be a fun way to expand my horizons!
And here's a look back at my past month recaps: December, November, October, September, August, July, June, May, April, March *side note, I never did a full blog post for my first month of doing this challenge (February 2015) I may have to go back and create that page so I can have the whole collection! I do have a quick look at a few of my sketches on my professional blog if you want to see a few or my originals: The beginning Another month DONE! That's 3/4 of a year done (since I started in February not January). I tried to do quotes that really resonated with me this month, I started with a designer theme but that was a little tough with some of the prompts so I went with all kinds of quotes that I liked. Enjoy!
And here's a look back at my past month recaps: August, July, June, May, April, March Another month has come and gone and I have more completed hand lettering sketches! I did a "dictionary" theme this month, using the definition of each prompt to create my lettering and then I used a pretty similar style for each day, one that felt more natural to my style!
I even managed to fit in my daily practice while on vacation to keep my streak going. I created all of these definition sketches in one moleskin book so it's now a super fun and colorful book of definitions and I just love flipping through it. I may have to make something fun with all of these sketches eventually. And here's a look back at my past month recaps: July, June, May, April, March |
