365 STRAIGHT days of hand lettering DONE! (now time for a little break) I'm a little surprised that I was able to complete a hand lettering sketch for a whole year straight without missing a day. It will be fun to look back over all of them to see how they've changed throughout the year. I also want to scan them all in and do something fun with the set but that's TBD. For now enjoy my final month of sketches! December's theme was "In 2016, what if I . . . " this was an interesting topic to start off January, however I felt like a lot of them I could have put repeats so it was difficult for me to come up with unique things to think about for this year. I'll have to make a list of all my topics and see which ones I will seriously look into trying to do this year. Could be a fun way to expand my horizons!
And here's a look back at my past month recaps: December, November, October, September, August, July, June, May, April, March *side note, I never did a full blog post for my first month of doing this challenge (February 2015) I may have to go back and create that page so I can have the whole collection! I do have a quick look at a few of my sketches on my professional blog if you want to see a few or my originals: The beginning I have a whole year of currently's and wanted to put them all together for a fun reflection of what I've been up to the past year in short snippets! Here are the links for the year and the photo roundup is below: January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December Since it's the last day of the year I thought it'd be a good time to reflect on the past year and post the photos from the gratitude challenge I did back in November. I've done this 30-day gratitude photo challenge past years from positivelypresent.com and I always love having this small challenge to remind me daily everything I have to be thankful for. Here is the recap from when I did it last year: 2014 Gratitude photo challenge. I've done green smoothie challenges through Simple Green Smoothies before but I can't recall the last one so I decided to up my green smoothie game by drinking one 30 days in a row starting October 1st! I was pretty successful in the challenge at having a "green" smoothie or some type of veggie drink for 30 days straight. I traveled a few weekends which made it a little harder but I made due with a few juice/smoothie combos that had veggies in them. I also found an awesome smoothie shop in Pittsburgh called Salud Juicery and now I'm hooked. I made a nice long weekend trip home to NR so I could celebrate the twin's 4th birthday and meet William. It was nice having the whole weekend to spend time with the family since I hadn't been home since July. Isn't Will such a cutie! L&L really enjoyed the birthday festivities especially the gifts and cake! It was a superman and batman themed party and this year was in their brand new house that was just finished up recently. The Clouse house is so nice and there was so much space for the whole family and party! Overall a pretty great weekend and glad that my guy could tag along for the fun country air filled trip!
