I've done green smoothie challenges through Simple Green Smoothies before but I can't recall the last one so I decided to up my green smoothie game by drinking one 30 days in a row starting October 1st! I was pretty successful in the challenge at having a "green" smoothie or some type of veggie drink for 30 days straight. I traveled a few weekends which made it a little harder but I made due with a few juice/smoothie combos that had veggies in them. I also found an awesome smoothie shop in Pittsburgh called Salud Juicery and now I'm hooked.

After looking through my vacation photos I decided to split them into 3 categories for this post. Kyle and I crammed a lot of good food, drinks, and sightseeing into our vacation but we were also able to relax and not rush through anything so it was a perfect combo of planned stuff and just going with the flow. Asheville was a neat town and pretty small. We were able to see most of the city in 2 days and then spent the rest of the time checking out the other sights outside of the downtown area. I doubt we'd vacation there again to see the city but I wouldn't mind stopping back to stay in a cabin in the mountains and grab a meal or two in town since the food was amazing. FOOD! DRINK! EXPLORATION! I did a mini food reset the other week and drank just juice for a whole day. There are soooooo many types of juice cleanses out there and I found some yummy juice at Whole Foods so I checked out the company and decided to try a one day cleanse. Here's the juice brand's site: Suja. It was fun and not too hard but I did miss food. However I never got hungry and still felt refreshed the next day and probably could have done another day or two.
The cleanse was six juices with one being an almond milk that ended the day and tasted amazing. I actually only drank five total because I was so full if juice. I ended up also using one juice from a different brand since I couldn't find all of the Suja ones. I might do another reset sometime soon with all the splurging I've been doing in the food and drinking department! |
