In December I finally got to check out the cool city of Savannah for about 48 hours! It was a quick trip there (me and Kyle were actually down south for a wedding in Jacksonville, more about that in another post) but was a lot of fun and we packed a lot in but still managed to be relaxed. We explored the city, checked out the riverfront, ran the bridge race, ate good southern food, and of course found the best ice cream! This trip is best explained through photos, so enjoy! I hope to go back to explore more and maybe squeeze in a few other southern cities too.

So now that it is starting to feel like fall I decided to start brainstorming some fun things I want to do in the upcoming months. There is a lot I love about fall but I am a little sad at the thought of summer being over. I love the heat and sun and EVERYTHING summer related plus this year mine was a little less "summery" so I wish it would last longer but oh well now on to fall and finding ways to make it awesome (and not think about the fact winter will be here soon yikes!) So below is my fall "bucket list" hopefully I can get to most of it and enjoy lots of fall themed stuff once the weather gets chilly and the leaves start changing.
Currently... wishing I was at the beach but I guess pools will have to do for now Currently... enjoying wineries and tacos and this guy, have already been to the Winery at Bull Run a few times this year Currently... taking advantage of the fresh produce at all the farmers markets around here (those cherries and cherry tomatoes were amazing!) Currently... finished my personal logo/mark and implemented it on my blog and website Currently... still obsessed with jeni's and love when there are new flavors, this one is one of my faves now (maybe jeni's will be a permanent part of my currently posts based on how much I love it) Currently... working in dc for a few weeks and really enjoying using public transportation and getting to see all the monuments daily I had a super fun and full Valentine's Day/President's Day weekend in the middle of February. I roadtripped up to Pittsburgh to hang with Kyle on Friday the 14th and then we headed to Columbus for the rest of the weekend. We had tickets to the George Strait concert with my friends on Saturday and then spent part of Sunday meeting up with my family for food and then some exploring. It was such a fun weekend even with a few bumps (hotel room not ready) and it still being snowy and super cold. I could go on and on about the whole weekend but I think my photos will tell the story better! One of my awesome sister's just did a fun post titled "Currently" and it was fun to read so I decided to mimic the style and just have a random list per se of what is currently going on. Here is the link to my inspiration definitely check it out: Just Run With It Currently... would love to run out and buy Jeni's ice cream but will wait one more week until i'm in Columbus Currently... wearing my new tennis and contemplating what color shoelaces to buy for just a little more color! Currently... have been waking up early (6:30-8) every day weekends included and getting in my morning workouts which starts out my day pretty awesome Currently... think it's totally acceptable to enjoy a glass of wine and a donut at happy hour (especially a funfetti cake donut) I headed back to Ohio for a little mini vacation in July. I had fun events going on two weekends in a row and it made sense to stay there the whole time instead of trekking back and forth from VA to OH twice. It started with a fun girls night in Columbus before the Color Run on Saturday morning with the sisters, mom, and friends! It was a lot of fun and we got covered with color (which took a little while to get off....) but so glad I got to experience it! My trip also fit perfect with a Christmas in July party at Ashley and Cole's which was great. I got to catch up with some friends. After the weekend in Columbus I headed to the parents and spent the week there and had a lot of fun time with the twins. I helped babysit and went to the fair with them which was a lot of fun. It was entertaining seeing their interaction with the animals! The end of the week I headed back to Columbus to get Kyle from the airport and hung out with Brittany and Dustin before our cousin's wedding on Friday and then reunion on Saturday. The parents house was definitely full that weekend with everyone in town for the wedding and it was a lot of fun being around the whole family. The wedding was also great with good food, dessert, and a lot of dancing! That was the end of my mini OH vacay, it was a good mix of planned stuff and just R&R plus catching up with the family and some friends! Below are a few photos of the adventures I got into, enjoy! |
