My sister, sister-in-law, mom, and I hosted my baby sister's wedding shower this past weekend. We used my parents rustic designed garage to hold the party and decorated it for a country brunch to celebrate Brittany's upcoming wedding! It was a lot of fun we had good food including quiche, donuts, yogurt parfait bar, cupcakes, coffee, and mimosas (of course!) and everything homemade too. I'm thinking we should go into party planning?! It was great mingling with lots of family for the celebration and using a little bit of my design skills to make fun signs and games! Now on to bachelorette planning! |

One of my awesome sister's just did a fun post titled "Currently" and it was fun to read so I decided to mimic the style and just have a random list per se of what is currently going on. Here is the link to my inspiration definitely check it out: Just Run With It Currently... would love to run out and buy Jeni's ice cream but will wait one more week until i'm in Columbus Currently... wearing my new tennis and contemplating what color shoelaces to buy for just a little more color! Currently... have been waking up early (6:30-8) every day weekends included and getting in my morning workouts which starts out my day pretty awesome Currently... think it's totally acceptable to enjoy a glass of wine and a donut at happy hour (especially a funfetti cake donut) I can't believe the holidays have already come and gone! Wow time really does fly but I had lots of fun spending time with family and friends over the last month and a half. The holidays were a little different for me this year but still so good, I also overindulged A LOT but totally worth it! I'm getting back to the health kick now but more on that later... This year (well last year now since I'm a little late on this post) I spent Thanksgiving in Virginia since I had to work a little that week, but I did get to spend with Kyle's family and made my Grandma Metzger's famous noodles to make it feel more like home! It was really good and I had all the yummy foods that go along with that day, but the company was even better than the food, I am lucky that I was able to have someone else's family here in VA to spend the holiday with! I was also able to do some baking with Kyle in preparation for Christmas. We made buckeyes, chocolate covered cherries, and gingerbread men, along with some eggnog cocktails! Sooooo good and was my first taste of eggnog and I have to say I'm hooked for sure. For Christmas I celebrated with Kyle the week before and then headed back to NR for the week of and spent a lot of time with the family and catching up with friends. It was so much fun watching the twins dig into presents this year, they loved opening gifts and helped out everyone, especially opening Eric's presents hehe! And I know Henry is not far behind, next year will be even more fun with all 3 of them older! I hope everyone else had an amazing holiday season and enjoy the photos! I feel like a broken record when it comes to moving to a new apartment, maybe that's because this is my fourth one in under three years....oh well that's life. But now that I'm finally feeling all settled and stuff I wanted to share some photos! The move wasn't too bad and I had a lot of help which was great and I'm loving my new place (along with the cats loving it and the huge windows!) a lot. My door is always open to visitors if anyone feels like visiting! There's still a few things I would like for my place including stools (I only have 2 chairs), a coffee table, and a cute kitchen cart I found at IKEA. The apartment is very open and tons of empty walls so I'm not sure what I will do with all the space but I will take any suggestions! Enjoy the tour and my cats since they like to appear in my photos!
